03.28 Tonight at Gotham Comedy Club comedians pay tribute to Greg Giraldo with two performances from some of the city’s best, to benefit the Greg Giraldo’s Children Fund. Featured comedians include Michael Ian Black, Todd Barry, Joe Mande, Amy Schumer, and more.

03.29 (Le) Poisson Rouge hosts a benefit for relief in Japan Tuesday night featuring the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, Patti Smith, Cibo Matto, and Antony of Antony & the Johnsons.

03.30 McSweeney’s presents the launch of Voice of Witness’ newest book Nowhere to Be Home: Narratives From Survivors of Burma’s Military Regime featuring readings from Voice of Witness editors Maggie Lemere and Zoë West and Nowhere to Be Home narrator U Agga at Housing Works Bookstore.

03.31 The BAM-based reading series Eat, Drink, and Be Literary presents a reading with the recent National Books Critics Circle award-winning author of A Visit from the Goon Squad, Jennifer Egan, moderated by Deborah Treisman.

04.01 Brooklyn indie-rockers Pearl & the Beard host their CD Release show at The Knitting Factory with special guests The Lisps.

04.02 Book Reading and Signing with Jessica Jiji and Annia Ciezadlo at the Jeffrey Leder Gallery in Long Island City. Jiji is the author of Sweet Dates in Basra and Diamonds Take Forever, and Ciezadlo is reading from her new book Day of Honey: A Memoir of Food, Love, and War, she has also been a special correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor in Baghdad and The New Republic in Beirut.

Dustin Luke Nelson is the author of the forthcoming collection "in the office hours of the polar vortex" (Robocup, 2015) and the chapbook "Abraham Lincoln" (Mondo Bummer, 2013). His 90-minute performance film "STRIKE TWO" debuted with Gauss PDF in April and his performance piece "Applause" debuted at the Walker Art Center's Open Field in June.
